Silk Road Institute Welcomes New Semester with Opening Lecture
As spring breathes new life into the world, Silk Road School (SRS) ushered in a new semester on February 20th with its opening lecture, "Academic Writing," led by Professor Jiang Xiaoli. International students from France, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Ghana, and other countries gathered together to embark on this academic journey.
As a cornerstone in the academic path of international students, the Academic Writing course aims to equip students with fundamental research methodologies and standards, enhance their academic writing skills, and lay a solid foundation for future scholarly endeavors. In the classroom, Professor Jiang Xiaoli, with her lively and engaging teaching style, elucidated the structural framework of academic papers, writing techniques, and academic norms in a clear and accessible manner. She also incorporated specific case studies to stimulate students' critical thinking and foster discussions.
SRS remains steadfast in its commitment to providing high-quality educational resources and diverse cultural experiences for international students in China. As the new semester unfolds, the Institute will introduce a series of courses including "Overview of China's Development," "Contemporary Chinese Politics," and "Introduction to Chinese Law," designed to help international students gain a deeper understanding of China. It is hoped that under the Institute's meticulous guidance, students from around the globe will cultivate their academic aspirations, embrace multiculturalism, forge friendships that transcend borders, and grow into ambassadors of goodwill, fostering cultural exchange and cooperation between China and the world.
