Silk Road School Alumni from the Class of 2018 and 2019 Return to Suzhou Campus
On February 22nd, Aflatoun, a French alumnus from the Class of 2018, and Milic, a Serbian alumnus from the Class of 2019, returned to their alma mater, Silk Road School, to visit their former teachers. The alumni expressed their gratitude for the nurturing they received from the school and sincerely thanked the institution for its thoughtful gesture of safeguarding the belongings of students who were unable to return to campus due to the pandemic.
The alumni met warmly with their Chinese language teachers and class advisors at the school. The teachers welcomed their return with open arms and inquired in detail about their recent lives and career developments. Aflatoun shared his feelings of gratitude upon seeing the familiar campus and teachers again. He particularly mentioned how, due to the sudden outbreak of the pandemic in 2020, many personal items and academic materials of the students were left at the school. The school took the initiative to securely store these belongings. Seeing these items again after five years deeply moved him, "The meticulous care from the school made me feel the warmth of home, and this kindness is something I will never forget."
Additionally, the school presented Milic with the latest edition of "China and the World: Symposium of Silk Road School," which includes theses they wrote during their studies. This serves as recognition of their academic achievements and encourages them to continue striving in their future academic and professional endeavors, maintaining an international perspective and promoting cultural exchanges.
The alumni expressed their ongoing interest in the development of their alma mater and the Silk Road School, hoping to contribute to the school through their own efforts. The school also stated its commitment to strengthening alumni relations and building a platform for interaction between alumni and current students, aiding more students in their growth and success.
